I worked in the Deli and we ran out of Bannan peppers, so a manager sent me to the grocery isle to get them. On my way back I walk thru the produce department and slipped on a grape and fell on my knee as I was carrying an item and couldn't or didn't catch myself. I fractured my knee and from there on out it became a nightmare. I think they wanted me to quit, they started scheduling me long 10 11 hour shifts and argued about second orthopedic dr, eventually they wore me out and I thought they were going to terminate me so I quit and could not collect any umemployment. I think they got lucky that it wasn't a customer and just me and that made me feel less then human.

I got called on friday for an interview on monday. Accepted job offer and did drug test at interview. Everything came back by Wednesday. Went Friday to complete hiring paperwork and went to orientation that Saturday. Following orientation, i had in-store computer training that Monday. So my whole process was 1 week.

Horrible hours, short staffed, and you have to work days and hours you said you weren't available when hired originally

Actually listen to the complaints from workers or past workers you see online and on sites. Dont just reprimand and ignore because the complaints give you a bad look. Management needs to be monitored more in a lot of stores and it's just not happening. Thats why people are quitting because of the toxicity. If you want to keep people, start caring about the workers more.
